The origin of my first name is pretty simple. My aunt had a female neighbor named Corey, and my mother loved the idea of giving a girl a more masculine name...hence my name Corey. The only issue with having a masculine name is that when people see my name on paper they automatically assume that I am a male. Because of this, I was always put into groups and sport teams with other boys. Even with minor issues, I have always loved my name for the mere fact that it is pretty original and there are not many girl Coreys running around...I wouldn't change it for the world.
